    St Colmcille’s PS / Bunscoil Cholmcille / Naíscoil & Nursery: Admissions arrangements 2020

    The arrangements for applying for pre-school and primary school places changed last year.

    Parents are asked to apply for places online on the Education Authority’s website: https://www.eani.org.uk/parents/admissions from Tuesday 7 January to Thursday 30 January 2020.

     

    A meeting will be held in the school on Wednesday 14 January at 7.00pm to explain the process.

     

    Feel free to contact the school if you have any difficulty accessing the relevant information.

  • Rang 6 & 7 organise fundraiser for the local branch of Diabetes Association

    Children in Mary's class organised a kids' Break with toast and pancakes on 14th November in aid of the Omagh branch of the Diabetes Association. The children really loved this special treat and collected an excellent £268.28.

     

    In the picture are: Jenna, Erin, Mrs Ursula Fullerton, Tianna-Rose and Dearbhaile with Mr Cush & Mrs McKee. Well done everyone.

  • Eco Warriors Creative Recycling

    Pupils in Mrs Donnelly's, Miss Treanor's and Mrs McKee's classes participated in an Eco Warriors project. The challenge was to create something new from waste. Every Wednesday, instead of "normal" written homework they worked on their recycling projects. There were a wonderful variety of imaginative creations. Parents were invited to the school to see the array of talented works produced. In addition, pupils from Rang 6/R7 delivered a bilingual Power-point presentation focusing on the importance of recycling and looking after the precious environment. Mr Mark Bradley had the impossible task of judging the works. have a look at the work below, they are all winners.

  • "Féile Pheadair Joe"

    See attached poster with events for "Féile Pheadair Joe" which takes place this week. For the whole family- On Friday- Sean Nós dancing; Saturday- Intensive Irish Classes, Basket weaving & Open music session. Sunday - Family Fun Day and Irish Story telling. always worth a visit.
  • Understanding Dyslexia- A Guide for parents.

    Finding out your child has dyslexia can be an overwhelming experience or in many cases a huge relief to finally understand why your child has been struggling.

     

    Check the "Parents' section- Useful Information" of this website for a very useful guide which has been written by a parent for parents. It is specifically designed for parents to share with their children, to explain what dyslexia is, to create an opportunity to help children talk about how they feel and suggest ways that you can support them.

  • "Grow in Love" & "I nGrá De"

    A Special thank you to Fr O'Neill for donating "Grow in Love" & "I nGrá De" workbooks to our Primary Four and Rang a Ceathair classes. The workbooks will support our parish's "Do this in Memory" programme which will be launched with a parents' evening on Wed 2nd Oct at 7.00pm.
