Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in St Colmcille's PS
Dear parents
Please see attached information about an exciting after-school opportunity for children and families to take part in our upcoming autumn forest school sessions at An Creagán.
These are place-based (peatland and pioneer native woods, with links to local archaeological sites of interest), environmental education sessions with sustainable arts and crafts and bushcraft activities. The space is intentionally chosen and set-up to provide the space and environment for learners to explore and discover outdoors.
Forest school aims to foster a relationship with nature through regular personal experiences in order to develop long-term, environmentally sustainable attitudes and practices encompassing the seasons.
If you would like to know more about long-term, seasonal forest school, outdoor education and bushcraft opportunities for your school, please get in touch with Emma at An Creagan.
Kind regards

Dear parents For the past twenty-four years, in our 'Friend's of St Colmcille's' parents and staff have been working together to support the school and our children.
Some of our activities have generated several thousand pounds in funding for the school which is used to create added value to our children's experiences in the school. Among the items purchased have been computer equipment, books, certificates, and special needs equipment.
Our ethos is to support our school in helping develop happy, caring, confident, capable children with a community spirit.
Our meetings and activities are very light-hearted, informal and enjoyable. We would love to welcome new members and supporters to our group. Involvement can be as little or as much as you prefer.
Please feel free to come along to our AGM meeting at the school on Wednesday 7th October at 6.30pm. |
