CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MARTIN FAMILY'S MENINGITIS & STARLIGHT FUNDRAISER
Fri 14 Feb 2020Congratulations to the Martin family for the excellent fundraiser which raised almost £4,000 for two important charities. We had a non-uniform Day on 14th February to help raise funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation and for SWAH Children’s Ward by donating to the Starlight Foundation.
Rian and Matthew Martin who lead this fundraiser as their younger brother had HIF bacterial meningitis Oct 2018, presented a powerful speech to the children about how they became aware of their brother's illness and how we all should be vigilant. He had been seriously ill but thankfully has made a full recovery. Children in the school donated almost £400.00 to support this fundraiser.

Eco Council promotes better environment
Thu 06 Feb 2020Congratulations to our Eco Council members who gave a brilliant assembly this morning on how we can all help look after our environment.
They talked about the importance of looking after the local environment as well as being mindful of the choices which we all can make to ensure that we hand on a better world for our children. They used inspiration from Pope Francis to encourage everyone to make a special effort to recycle, reuse and reduce.
