AGM: New committee
The ‘Friends of St Colmcille’s’ new committee for 2022-23 was formed at the AGM on 8th November and I’m delighted to report that the following members were elected: Denise Lalahi (Chairperson), Brenda O’Gara (vice-chairperson), Carmel McWilliams (Secretary), Ciara McElroy (Assistant Secretary), Marie Grimes (Treasurer), Aisling McLaren (Assistant Treasurer). Other members: Carrie Gormley, Christine Hendry, Shauna Hurson, Dympna Loughran, Deborah Magill, Aoife McElduff and Patricia Meenan. In attendance: Mr Cush and Mrs Donnelly.
Background to Friends of St Colmcille’s
During the meeting I provided a summary of the activities of Friends of St Colmcille’s since its formation in 2004 and the vital role that the committee has in the school community:
I also gave parents a preview of the upcoming Parents’ questionnaire which will assist in the formation of the School Development Plan which I encourage all parents to complete before 15th November.
COFFEE MORNING
The committee agreed to support the following activities this term.
Minnie Vinnies Coffee Morning fundraiser to support St Vincent de Paul on:Sat 26th Nov. - 10.00am to 1.00pm.
We would appreciate any help from parents for this event:- baking, etc. Please contact the school, if you would like to help with this event. Some craft tables will be available in the school during this event. If you have any questions about booking craft tables, please contact PHONE: Dympna 07955090366.
Christmas Jumper Exchange
This year’s Christmas Jumper Day will be in aid of Simon Community. Parents who would like to exchange Christmas jumper can leave them in school before Saturday 26th November.
The next meeting of Friends of St Colmcille’s is 17th November at 7.30pm
I wish the new committee every success and know that parents will support the Friends of St Colmcille’s throughout the year.
