Our mission statement and school crest symbolise the ethos in St. Colmcille’s PS/ Bunscoil Naomh Colmcille:-
- The school name, ‘Bunscoil Naomh Colmcille’ highlights our commitment to our patron saint and the Irish language. It is written in a circle which is an endless line, having no beginning and no end and symbolises eternity or God.
- The cross represents Jesus, the Son of God and the wonderful Celtic Millennium cross in our church grounds.
- The dove represents both the Holy Spirit and St Colmcille our patron saint who is known as the ‘Dove of the church’.
