CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MARTIN FAMILY'S MENINGITIS & STARLIGHT FUNDRAISER
Congratulations to the Martin family for the excellent fundraiser which raised almost £4,000 for two important charities. We had a non-uniform Day on 14th February to help raise funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation and for SWAH Children’s Ward by donating to the Starlight Foundation.
Rian and Matthew Martin who lead this fundraiser as their younger brother had HIF bacterial meningitis Oct 2018, presented a powerful speech to the children about how they became aware of their brother's illness and how we all should be vigilant. He had been seriously ill but thankfully has made a full recovery. Children in the school donated almost £400.00 to support this fundraiser.
