The Blood Transfusion Service is asking for your support. In Northern Ireland upwards of 850 units of blood are used by patients each week, yet 94% of the eligible population still do not give blood. Donated blood is usually transfused within three to four days of donation and we need to attract many new donors to ensure a safe supply of blood to our hospitals. Blood is used in numerous ways, such as going to a child with leukaemia, a mother during childbirth, a person undergoing routine surgery, a person with cancer, or someone involved in an accident.
I am looking for your help to encourage donors to attend the local donation session in the Patrician Hall, Carrickmore on:
Thursday 4th November. 12.30pm – 4.00pm & 5.00pm – 7.30pm
Thank you for your time and interest, your contribution would be much appreciated.
It's important to ring: 08085534653 to make an appointment.
Congratulations to St Colmcille's Ladies on winning the Jarlath Kerr Cup in a trilling match against St McCartan's in Galbally last weekend. We are delighted to welcome the team including all our former pupils to the school on Friday morning. children are encouraged to wear their club colours in school on Friday.
There was a great buzz in the school when the Sam Maguire Cup and Anglo-Celt cup visited the school along with our former pupils and All-Ireland winners; Cormac Munroe, Darragh Canavan and Johnny Munroe.
On behalf of everyone in St Colmcille’s PS, we congratulate the Tyrone team on achieving the 4th All-Ireland for the county, especially our past pupils who inspired the children during their visit.
"A few years ago, we were sitting where you are, hoping that we would do what Conor Gormley had done in 2003, 2005 and 2008.
We are so happy to be here with you, some day it might be you standing here. Dreams come true if you work as hard as you can.Be the best you can be!
