  • Fundraiser for the Friendly Care Group

    Mr Gormley’s P7’s, Miss Treanor’s P6’s and Marys Rang 5-7’s held a fundraiser before Christmas as part of their World Around Us topic. They chose the ‘Friendly Care Group’ as their charity and had Albert Breen in visiting to give a talk about the work they do as a charity for local families.

     

    The pupils sang carols in ASDA and a Springlawn Nursing home in Omagh in December and held a cake and bun sale before the Christmas holidays for staff, pupils and parents raising a fantastic £865 for the Friendly Care Group.

  • Admissions arrangements - PARENTS' MEETING -Thursday 10th January at 7.00pm

    The arrangements for applying for pre-school and primary school places have changed this year. Parents are asked to apply for places online on the Education Authority’s website: https://www.eani.org.uk/parents/admissions. Closing date is Thursday 31 January 2019.

     

    A meeting will be held in the school on Thursday 10th January at 7.00pm to explain the process. Parents will also have an opportunity to complete/ check their online applications at the end of the meeting. Please feel free to contact the school if you would like to discuss the admissions’ process.

    St Colmcille’s PS / Bunscoil Cholmcille / Naíscoil & Nursery: Admissions arrangements 2020

    The arrangements for applying for pre-school and primary school places have changed this year.

    Parents are asked to apply for places online on the Education Authority’s website: https://www.eani.org.uk/parents/admissions from Wednesday 2 January to Thursday 31 January 2019.

  • Christmas Fayre

    The "Friends of St Colmcille's" are holding their annual Christmas Fayre in the Patrician Hall on Sunday 2 nd December. We have a large number of stalls this year so come along between 12.30pm – 5.00pm. The Christmas Draw will also take place with loads of prizes. As usual, the event will conclude with the Christmas tree lights “Switch On” accompanied by children singing Christmas carols.
  • Credit Union Art competition winners

    Congratulations to this year's winners in the Credit Union Art Competition:

    First Prizes were awarded to Cara Donaghy, Niall Morris, Ruairi Daly and Kacey Keenan

    Second prizes were awarded to Joan McGranaghan, Ronan Ward and Anna Gormley.

    Third prizes were awarded to Cody Stewart and Conan P Donnelly.

     

    The art work can be seen on the Credit Union website and will be submitted in the next round of the competition at Chapter level. Well done everyone.

  • Eco Council holds its first meeting

    Following on from the excellent work undertaken by Mrs McGurk in 2017-2018 when the first Eco Council committee was elected and an Action Plan was agreed and a "Big clean up" was organised, this year's Council held its first meeting. This year the Eco-council is led by Miss Owens and Miss McRory with guidance from Mrs Rogers the school's World Around Us Coordinator. Members represent each class from P3 to P7.
