Background to Friends of St Colmcille’s

During the meeting I provided a summary of the activities of Friends of St Colmcille’s since its formation in 2004 and the vital role that the committee has in the school community:

  • To increase parents’ involvement in life of the school
  • To support school activities
  • To increase resources available to children
  • To act as a consultative forum and provide a parents’ perspective on issues relating to the school.

I also gave parents a preview of the upcoming Parents’ questionnaire which will assist in the formation of the School Development Plan which I encourage all parents to complete before 24th January 2025

I wish the new committee every success and know that parents will support the Friends of St Colmcille’s  throughout the year.

Yours sincerely

Previous activities

Dear parents

The Home-School Association was established to assist in the development the school’s education of the pupils. The Association seeks to:-

  • Develop more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
  • Engage in activities, which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
  • Provide and assist in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the Department of Education, EA or CCMS).

The whole school community benefits from the excellent work of this charitable association. We would like to sincerely thank the team of dedicated volunteers for their commitment to the school over the years and wish in incoming committee every success
